Your 7-Day / 8-Night Sailing Adventure

PRELIMINARY ITINERARY

Exact itinerary may shift—because sailing’s all about chasing wind, not schedules. We’ll follow the breeze, trust the locals, and aim for maximum fun. Here’s a look at what this epic island-hopping adventure might look like.

Day 1: ARRIVAL & WELCOME IN RAIATEA

Pearl Farm, rare Flowers, and world heritage site

Raiatea is considered the spiritual birthplace of Polynesia and home to the Taputapuātea marae, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Arrive at the Raiatea base by early afternoon. This is your chance to meet the crew, get familiar with your catamaran, and settle in before departure.

  • Tour the UNESCO-listed Taputapuātea marae, one of the most important spiritual sites in the South Pacific

  • See the island from a bird's-eye view in a scenic private flight tour

Once we arrive, settle into the lagoon near Motu To’opua for swimming, snorkeling, and a relaxed afternoon on the water. Later, head ashore to explore Vaitape, grab a cocktail, or enjoy the evening at one of Bora Bora’s legendary waterfront spots.

Lagoon Day

DAY 5: SAIL TO HUAHINE

Off the Beaten Path

Leave Bora Bora behind and set sail for Huahine, approximately a 5–7 hour sail depending on wind and sea conditions. It's one of French Polynesia’s quieter, more traditional islands. Known for its lush jungle, calm lagoon, archaeological sites, and laid-back villages, Huahine feels noticeably less developed than Bora Bora and gives the trip a more local, off-the-beaten-path feel.

Once you arrive, explore Fare, visit Maeva Village and its ancient marae and traditional fish traps, or head back to the lagoon for swimming, snorkeling, and paddling along Huahine’s lush shoreline.

These businesses and activities are recommendations we've found while researching our Tahiti destinations and are intended to help you make the most of your free time.

Unless specifically listed as a Share the Sail group event, activities, drinks, transportation, entrance fees, and reservations are not included in your trip package.

We strongly recommend making reservations for popular restaurants, wineries, and excursions well in advance — particularly during Tahiti's busy season.

And remember: you don't have to do everything.

Sometimes the best plan in Tahiti is no plan at all. Simply find a secluded motu, crack a cold one, and soak in the birds, fish, jungle, and total peace around you.
